Women-Space CEO discusses networking, compassion and inclusion at Kent, Bath Spa and Coventry

Women-Space CEO Prof Christina Hughes is looking forward to another busy month working with colleagues at universities across the country.

The month’s activities kick off on Wednesday March 2 when Christina takes part in an ‘in conversation’ event with students at the University of Kent. She and the university’s employer engagement and events officer Lara Cavill will be discussing overcoming the nervousness of networking to build a community of mutual support and opportunity, LinkedIn etiquette and how to “quietly network” in your organisation.

Next is a virtual visit to Bath Spa University to chair an ‘International Women's Day Roundtable: Kindness, Compassion, and Making an Impact’ on Tuesday 8 March – courtesy of Bath Spa Deputy Pro-Vice Chancellor Melissa Mulhall and Equality and Projects Officer Blaze Wade.

And the month finishes, thanks to an invitation from Elena Gaura and Liese Perrin from Coventry University, with a keynote at the university’s research culture week on 28 March. Christina will be speaking on ‘Creating Inclusive Research Cultures – why does change take so long and what we can do about it?’
